Higher temperatures and light intensity trigger the sap to flow anew in the vine. The first buds emerge, covered with a downy coating called bourre, then swell and eventually flower. Bud-burst has arrived!

The Champagne month by monthIn July 2015, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee voted to include the “Champagne Slopes, Houses and Cellars” on its World Heritage List. In so doing, UNESCO recognized the Outstanding Universal Value of Champagne’s cultural landscapes (both above and below ground).
In 1973, vineyard worker Christian Senez secured the backing of his wife Josette to create a Champagne House that would reflect his fascination with all things wine. His daughter and son-in-law now continue the story, driven by the same passion and sense of adventure.
